Want something delicious that you can show off? This is a great dish for such an occasion. Pesto adds elegance to any dish. This particular recipe has a lot to offer. It doesn’t lack in flavor. In fact the flavorful elements include garlic, parsley, basil, marjoram, parmesan cheese, and pine nuts. The rest of the ingredients are also sure to please: olive oil, pasta, butter, and salt. These satisfying ingredients will lead you to a delectable meal.
This recipe is pretty simple and only takes 22 minutes to complete (10 minutes for prep and 12-15 for cook time). The finale will feed about four to six people.
The instructions are relatively easy to follow. First, cook the noodles of your choosing as directed by the box/ bag they came in. Grate the parmesan cheese. Add the ingredients to a food processor or another appliance to mix thoroughly. When finished the sauce should appear pretty smooth and have a green hue.
Next drain the cooked noodles. When you return the noodles to the pot you can add the pesto sauce. Make sure to lightly toss the sauce into the noodles, allowing the noodles to be well coated.
When you’re master piece is finished you will have a colorful pasta. It’s an excellent dish to serve alone or with a nice side salad and breadstick. It’s easy, eloquent, and tasty.

- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves
- ¼ cup toasted pine nuts
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- Salt and pepper
- Add garlic, spinach, basil, pine nuts and 1 tablespoon of the oil into a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. Start the food processor and pour the rest of the oil in a slow, steady stream. Add parmesan, salt and pepper; pulse to combine.
SWAP Pecans or walnuts for the pine nuts.
