Salmon with Dijon Glaze

Greetings!  It is now Day 3 of Up A Creek Without A Kitchen!

Today’s griddle experiment is Salmon.  I bought a salmon filet and cut in to 4 sections while frozen.   Let it thaw on a plate before you cook it. I had it on the griddle at 300 degrees F.  Before you put the fish on the griddle place some of the glaze (recipe below) on the griddle, place the salmon on top of the glazed griddle and then brush some glaze on the top.  Cook each side for about 6 minutes. Although the glaze serves 8 I only made four servings.  Serve and enjoy!

Glaze Recipe and Directions


  • 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated ginger
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. In a glass dish add butter, brown sugar, and honey. Place in the microwave for about 1 minute or until the butter is melted.  Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well, and brush it on some salmon!
